The Best Way to Start Your Bartending Career

Before taking this class I had absolutely no restaurant experience whatsoever, let alone bartending. Tom (the instructor) has decades of experience which has really helped me get that jump start that I needed. He not only gets you comfortable with making drinks but also helps you learn the practicalities of the business such as understanding how managers think, how to interview well and just understanding the business in general. After taking this class I started working at The Fort and have been moving up the ranks already. I'm finding that not only is Tom's advice invaluable but also the confidence I gained in handling drinks.
Great Experience to start my career with!!!!

Tom tells you what will be expected of you behind the bar, how to interview for maximum effect, and ways to speed up your service without sacrificing quality. I would recommend this class to anyone that whats to start off on the right foot with a great skill set to start building on.

I've had friends go to other bartending schools in the Denver area that make you sit down, memorize a bunch of recipes, and take a test at the end to see if you "passed" or not. Estrela doesn't do that. Tom teaches you about the business, about how to get a job, about how to deal with some people and situations, and most importantly how real life bartending actually is. It isn't about memorizes 150 different recipes of learning how to flip bottles. It's about getting to know people and having experiences and being a friend to the people around you. At Estrela they know this and teach you these skills. Great place to go!!

I was privledged enough to take one of Tom's first classes. I had taken bartending classes before in another city but wanted to get involved again locally for help in job placement. From the moment I walked in, I knew this was going to be different then any class I had taken before. Tom has an incredible sense of the "business" of bartending and helped me get to where I want to be! If you want to learn to flip bottles, watch Cocktail, if you want to get a great job behind a bar, come see Tom at Estrela!!!
